His 2015 single, “Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh),” also saw success, reaching number 26 on the chart. Together with fellow Atlanta rapper Young Thug, Lamar was part of Cash Money Records’ spin-off project Rich Gang, which achieved success with their 2014 single “Lifestyle.”
Lamar’s debut studio album, “Rich as in Spirit” (2018), entered the Billboard 200 at number 33. After facing challenges, including a period of incarceration, he expressed how his passion for music grew, leading to the realization of his dream. Rich Homie Quan was influenced by various artists in the dirty South music scene, including Jeezy, Gucci Mane, T.I., Lil Boosie, Lil Wayne, Kilo Ali, Outkast, and Goodie Mob.

In an interview with WSB-TV in Atlanta, Quan’s father, Corey Lamar, mentioned that his son had recently completed a project of 20-25 songs and was planning video shoots with 2 Chainz and Plies. He also revealed that Quan had an extensive catalog of unreleased music, with over 2,000 songs, and that there was more music to come for his fans.
Rich Homie Quan‘s death was determined to be an accidental drug overdose by the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office, with a mix of fentanyl, alprazolam, codeine, promethazine, and THC found in his system.
