Sea Ray’s “Lashes” Download MP3
Sea Ray, a band from New York City, released two albums, a self-titled one in 1997 and another called Stars At Noon in 2003.
After breaking up in 2005, they return with their first new music in two decades. This is tied to the 20th anniversary of their album Stars At Noon, which is being reissued by Bodan Kuma Records later this year, including its first-ever vinyl pressing.
The digital reissue of the album features two newly recorded songs that the band used to play live but never saw an official release. One of these songs, “Lashes,” is now available.
Guitarist Greg Zinman said, “It’s rare to share an aesthetic shorthand with people that can withstand a twenty-year pause. And it’s been so satisfying to make these new songs together, which sound as good or better than anything we’ve ever done.”
The anniversary reissue will be celebrated with a show at the Knitting Factory, which will be Sea Ray’s first live performance since 2005.
