Seventeenth Heaven is the eleventh EP by the South Korean boy band Seventeen. The EP was released on October 23, 2023, by Pledis Entertainment through YG Plus, five months after the release of their previous EP FML.

The EP contains eight tracks, including a collaboration with American producer Marshmello called “SOS”. Its lead single is “God of Music”.

Seventeen announced the release on their social media on September 18, 2023, and it was available for pre-order two days later. An accompanying teaser clip shows a red festival wristband with the album title and release date.

In a pre-release YouTube live stream, Woozi explained that the album’s title is derived from the term “seventh heaven,” which represents a state of extreme joy. The project will be released in three different versions: AM 5:26, PM a2:14, and PM 10:23. Each version has a unique design and includes posters, lyric books, and picture cards.

Seventeenth Heaven comprises eight tracks with a runtime of 26 minutes and 45 seconds. Woozi and Bumzu spearheaded the production, and members S.Coups, Mingyu, Vernon, Wonwoo, and Hoshi also participated in writing the tracks. American DJ and producer Marshmello served as a producer for the opening track “SOS”.

Unlike their previous EP, FML, Seventeenth Heaven expresses an unabashed, joyous celebration of the band’s career. Several songs on the album have been described by Billboard as having an upbeat production.

The EP opens with the English-language track “SOS”, which exhibits hints of rock. The upbeat soul funk track, “God of Music”, serves as the lead single, which has been described as being colorful sounding. “Diamond Days” samples “Shining Diamond” from their debut EP 17 Carat (2015).

On October 19, 2023, Pledis Entertainment announced that leader S.Coups would refrain from participating in the promotions for the album, focusing on his recovery following a surgery. In promotion of the album, the band is scheduled to tour Japan, Thailand, the Philippines, and Macao from November 2023 to January 2024. On October 16, Seventeen revealed the tracklist for the record.

Seventeenth Heaven broke the record for most pre-orders in K-pop history, with 5.20 million pre-orders. By October 12, the EP had amassed 4.67 million stock pre-orders, surpassing the record of 4.64 million pre-orders with their previous EP, FML.

The album artwork continues the festival theme and features outdoor grounds filled with stuffed animals, a Volkswagen-style bus, and hot air balloons in various shapes.
