Tec and Ghost were solo rap artists until they met at a battleground and discovered they both had the stage name “Golden Child.” They decided to form a rap duo and went through several stage names, such as Loose Cannonz, BlackBoysDown, and Third Eye Renegades, before finally settling on Show Dem Camp. They have transitioned from being just rappers to also being record label owners. Their first mixtape, “Clone Wars Vol. 1,” was released in 2010. Since then, they have released several albums under the Clone Wars Series and Palm Wine Music.
The rap duo of Wale Davies and Olumide Ayeni, also known as Show Dem Camp (SDC), has released a new album titled “No Love in Lagos,” featuring guitarist Nsikak David and the highlife band consisting of Kingsley Okorie and Benjamin James.
The album explores the complexities of love and relationships in the bustling city of Lagos. “No Love in Lagos” depicts a city where genuine love is hard to come by. Show Dem Camp‘s lyrics illuminate the difficulty of finding real connection in a city steeped in a culture of instant gratification, deceptive appearances, and the constant need to work hard.
