Slaughter Beach, Dog has announced the release of their upcoming album titled “Crying, Laughing, Waving, Smiling”. The album is set to be released on September 22, via Lame-O Records and is available for pre-order. The album features two singles, namely “Strange Weather” and “Float Away”. The latter is a gentle and country-leaning song that’s perfect for a relaxing listening session.
The album has received high praises from music critics, with The Hold Steady’s Craig Finn stating, “There’s beautiful space in everything. It’s patient and aware. I’ve always admired Jake’s eye for detail and it’s on full display here. It’s an album filled with gorgeous imagery and vivid worlds are built within each song. I see it all. Most impressively to me, he consistently finds the divine and sacred in the everyday.”
Slaughter Beach, Dog has also announced a tour to promote the album, with a performance scheduled in NYC on November 17 at Webster Hall. The band has also added Bonny Doon as a supporting act for the NYC show, who recently released their ANTI-debut album “Let There Be Music”. Additionally, the band has planned a tour with Sun June.
Slaughter Beach, Dog is a rock band hailing from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, formed by Jake Ewald in 2014. Initially, it was one of Ewald’s solo projects, separate from his involvement with Modern Baseball. However, the group came together after an indefinite hiatus of Modern Baseball was announced.
