Moneybagg Yo just released a deluxe version of his latest album, now titled “SPEAK NOW OR…”, with seven new tracks. The expanded 24-song project is filled with powerful wordplay, catchy hooks, and great beats, as well as exciting new collaborations.
The new tracks include “WYD” featuring GloRilla and Big Boogie, a club-ready anthem showcasing the talent of all three artists, and “OUTTA TOWN” with Bossman Dlow from Tallahassee. Other highlights are “DO YO SH*T”, “SUM TO HATE ON”, and the raw and unfiltered “FOOT SOLDIERS” by Moneybagg Yo.
The deluxe edition builds on the original vision of SPEAK NOW and offers over half a dozen new hits to captivate fans for months to come. The original SPEAK NOW album was highly anticipated. One of its main highlights is the RIAA Gold-certified collaboration “Whiskey Whiskey” featuring country superstar Morgan Wallen, a successful hip-hop/country hybrid. The song reached No. 28 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart and was even chosen as one of former President Barack Obama’s top songs of the summer. DeMario DeWayne White Jr., born on September 22, 1991, is known professionally as Moneybagg Yo, an American rapper recognized for his melodic trap and Southern hip-hop music style.
White signed with fellow Memphis rapper Yo Gotti’s record label, Collective Music Group, in 2016, which later became a joint venture with Interscope Records. His commercial mixtapes, “Federal 3X” (2017) and “2 Heartless” (2018), marked his mainstream breakthrough and peaked at numbers five and 16 on the Billboard 200, respectively. His studio albums, “Reset” (2018), “43va Heartless” (2019), “Time Served” (2020), and “A Gangsta’s Pain” (2021), were all critically and commercially successful. The latter became his first to debut atop the chart and spawned the Billboard Hot 100-top 20 single “Wockesha.”
White has received multiple accolades, including a Grammy Award nomination and nominations for the American Music Award, MTV Music Video Award, Hollywood Music in Media Award, and iHeartRadio Music Award, of which he received four. In 2021, he won the “Trapper of the Year” Award from genre progenitor T.I.
To kick off 2022, Moneybagg Yo announced that he had already earned a million dollars from shows within the year’s first week. In July 2022, he performed for tens of thousands of people at London’s Wireless Festival, marking his first international show. “Trap taking over the world now,” he said when speaking to the New York Times, “It ain’t limited no more.”
