Fans of Westside Gunn, the maestro of coke rap, are excitedly anticipating the release of his upcoming album ‘AND THEN YOU PRAY FOR ME.’
On September 22, he announced the album with cover art created by the legendary Virgil Abloh, who also designed the iconic ‘Pray for Paris’ cover, creating continuity between the two projects.
What’s even more exciting than the album’s cover art is the star-studded lineup of features and producers. Westside Gunn has pulled out all the stops, with appearances from Denzel Curry, Rick Ross, DJ Drama, Tay Keith, JID, and more.
The official tracklist has been confirmed, teasing tracks like “MAMA’S PRIMETIME” with JID and Conway the Machine, and “TRYNNA KILL YOU” featuring Ty Dolla $ign.
In a recent interview with TMZ, Westside Gunn boldly claimed that ‘AND THEN YOU PRAY FOR ME’ is the album of the year, with the first 10 tracks alone surpassing anything else released in 2023. The album, which contains 21 tracks, is set to be released on October 13.
As the anticipation builds for this musical masterpiece that’s been in the making, it’s clear that Westside Gunn is raising the bar for hip-hop in 2023.
