Spirit Power: The Best of Johnny Marr Album Download Leak MP3 ZIP Files
English musician Johnny Marr, the former guitarist of the popular band The Smiths, has announced the release of a new compilation album titled ‘Spirit Power: The Best Of Johnny Marr’. The album will feature tracks spanning across Marr’s decade-long solo career, including two new tracks, unheard demos, and a cover of Depeche Mode’s song.
Johnny Marr, the former guitarist of Smiths, is all set to release his new collection on November 3 through BMG. The album will showcase “the breadth of musicality across the first ten years” of Marr’s solo career. You can pre-order/pre-save the album by clicking the link provided in the press release.
The album will feature two new tracks, ‘The Answer’ and ‘Somewhere’, produced by Marr and co-producer James Doviak. Marr has personally curated the album, titled ‘Spirit Power’, and it comprises songs from his four solo albums: ‘The Messenger’ (2013), ‘Playland’ (2014), ‘Call The Comet’ (2018), and his upcoming double album ‘Fever Dreams Pts 1-4’ scheduled to release in 2022.
Apart from the solo albums, ‘Spirit Power’ will also include non-album singles, such as ‘Armatopia’, ‘The Priest’ (with Maxine Peake), a cover version of Depeche Mode’s ‘I Feel You’ (released for Record Store Day 2015), and the two new tracks.
The Deluxe CD edition of ‘Spirit Power’ will contain five previously unheard demos and rarities, including ‘Hi Hello’ (Demo), ‘Somewhere’ (Demo), ‘The Answer’ (Crazy Face Version), ‘The Messenger’ (Demo), and ‘Speak Out Reach Out’ (Crazy Face Version).
In a press statement, Marr spoke about his experience of playing in arenas and how it affects songwriting. He said, “For a song to work, it has to be a banger. I know it’s almost uncool to think in those terms, but I grew up in a house where my parents listened to Motown, where you couldn’t get a song released if it wasn’t full of hooks.”
John Martin Marr is an English musician, songwriter, and singer. He first became well-known as the guitarist and co-songwriter for the Smiths, who were active from 1982 to 1987. Since then, he has gone on to perform with several other bands, and has also established a successful solo career.
Marr is also scheduled to tour with The Killers and Blondie in 2022.
