Terry Sanchez Wallace Jr, professionally known as Tee Grizzley, is an American rapper. He started sharing his music online in 2011 and gained attention after the release of the song “First Day Out” in 2017, following a two-year prison sentence. The song became viral, receiving two million views on YouTube in under three weeks, due to a social media challenge by basketball player LeBron James. This success led the song to peak within the top 50 of the Billboard Hot 100 and helped Tee Grizzley sign with 300 Entertainment. Following this, he released his debut mixtape “My Moment” in 2017, and the single “From the D to the A” (featuring Lil Yachty), which received double platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). His collaborative mixtape with Lil Durk, “Bloodas” (2018), was followed by his debut studio album, “Activated” (2018).

Tee Grizzley and 42 Dugg are known for making hard-hitting music and both rappers come from Detroit, exuding a specific kind of intensity in their music. Their rise to fame in recent years was a matter of time before they collaborated again. Their latest collaboration, “Detroit,” showcases their pride for their hometown. Tee Grizzley starts off the track with relentless flow, seamlessly keeping the rhythm even when the beat drops out around the 0:35 second mark. Meanwhile, 42 Dugg adapts a slower, more melodic flow, effectively conveying aggression while fitting well with the driving beat.
