The Weeknd, known for his exceptional vocal skills, recently announced during his After Hours Til Dawn tour in Europe that he has no plans for guest features except for a special duo he admires. He teased a new verse on stage in Warsaw, which could be his final collaboration with another artist.
The electronic duo Daft Punk ended their 28-year run in February 2021. Prior to their split, they collaborated with The Weeknd on “I Feel It Coming” and the title track from his Starboy album, both of which were performed at the 2017 Grammy Awards. The French creatives have been credited by the actor of Uncut Gems as “one of the reasons [he makes] music.”
It is unclear if Daft Punk will make a comeback, but fans hope Tesfayes will continue making music with his peers. During his European tour, The Weeknd wowed audiences by holding a 15-second note.
