Toosii‘s latest album “JADED” is set to be released on Friday, and the official tracklist features collaborations with Kehlani, Gunna, and Muni Long. Nau’Jour Lazier Grainger, better known by his stage name Toosii, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter born on January 9, 2000. He gained mainstream recognition with the release of his single “Favorite Song” in 2023, which became popular on TikTok and peaked at number 5 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song received double platinum certification from the RIAA. This success preceded the release of his second studio album, “Naujour,” which peaked at number 19 on the Billboard 200. Toosii‘s debut album, “Poetic Pain,” released in 2020, reached number 17 on the Billboard 200 chart.
Toosii derived his stage name from his childhood nickname “Toota” and added the two I’s because “You need two eyes to see the vision,” a suggestion from his football teammates. Discovered by the South Coast Music Group, he signed with the record label in 2019. Toosii was motivated to pursue music by his brother and father and faced a period of homelessness before his career took off.
