Tyla, the emerging South African sensation, recently released a deluxe edition of her debut album, “TYLA +”. The updated version includes three new tracks featuring fellow South African talents such as Tony Duardo, Optimist, and Maestro. This move reflects Tyla’s dedication to highlighting Amapiano and blending it with other genres like R&B and pop, which has become her signature sound.
One of the notable additions on “TYLA +” is the track “Shake Ah,” which brings together the talents of DJ/producer Tony Duardo and vocalists Optimist and Maestro. Other new songs, like “Push 2 Start” and “Back To You,” continue to showcase Tyla’s ability to blend her unique style with more mainstream R&B and pop elements.
Tyla first gained global recognition with her hit “Water,” which reached number 7 on the Billboard Hot 100, making her the highest-charting African female soloist. Her success has earned her several accolades this year, including a GRAMMY, three BET Awards, and a VMA win.
In addition to the new music, Tyla has announced a homecoming tour in South Africa this December, marking her first performances there since “Water” became a global hit. With just one album, she has already become one of the most successful artists to emerge from Africa in recent years, and “TYLA +” is a powerful extension of her already impressive debut.
