Vic Mensa has been in the music industry for a while now but has only released one solo album, The Autobiography, back in 2017. Since then, he has been on a journey across various music genres. However, he is back now with a new self-titled album, VICTOR.
This new album is the result of a bad crash, both literally and metaphorically, that Vic Mensa went through and his subsequent journey into spirituality, which led to much self-reflection. Vic Mensa essentially produced the album himself, with BongoByTheWay credited as an executive producer.
The song ‘Eastside Girl‘ was released and accompanied by a music video directed by Danielle Alston with creative direction from Vic. The music video portrays a more playful and humorous side of Vic, who plays the role of a pool hustler trying to impress a group of girls but his fortune takes a dire turn.
Victor Kwesi Mensah, who goes by the stage name Vic Mensa, is an American rapper, singer, and actor. He was previously a member of the group Kids These Days, which disbanded in May 2013. After that, he released his debut solo mixtape titled Innanetape. Currently, he is signed to Roc Nation.
